Uva Ursi is also known as Bearberry or Beargrape. Uva Ursi literally means bear’s grape as it appears to be liked by bears. It is a small evergreen shrub and is native to North American, Europe and Asia. The leaves contain arbutin and hydroquinone which are believed to have diuretic, antimicrobial, and anti-inflammatory properties. It is important to talk to your health care provider before taking.
