A rich source of anthocyanins, Bilberry is an antioxidant that is thought to remove heavy metals and may lower the risk of Dementia and Alzheimer’s. Traditionally it has been used to improve night vision and reduce eye strain. Bilberry is good source of fiber, minerals, and vitamins including vitamin K.  It is a relative of American blueberries, cranberries, and huckleberries.  Bilberry is native to Northern Europe but also grows in North American and Northern Asia.
